Handling Conflict - Are you concerned that your children will be able to handle bullying or double dares when you are not around? Your children learn how to handle conflict from you. Learn some of the techniques used by professional mediators when confronted with threatening parties. You will learn how to defuse anger and how to deal with confrontational people.
“Why Can’t My Kids Be Responsible?” Do you have problems with your children not doing their homework, chores, cleaning their rooms or being on time? Are they constantly having to be reminded? This tele-class will teach you how to get them to be responsible, take ownership and solve their own problems.
Decision Making and Consequences - Are you concerned about the types of decisions your children will make when they are with their friends? Do you worry about the choices they will make when you are not around? This tele-class will help to eliminate some of those fears by teaching the parent how to help the child to process through the choices and letting them learn from those choices instead of through punishment.
Are You a Part of the Sandwich Generation? Are you ready? The sandwich generation are those who have their own families to take care of and also taking care of their elder parents. Don’t wait until it’s too late. Be proactive in deciding on the future care of your elder parents. Work it out with other family members as to who will be responsible for the parent’s financial health, medical appointments and getting their basic needs met. These decisions are usually made after the fact and is done in chaos. This class provides an awareness as to what is to come and how to prepare for it.

Has your child been diagnosed with ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Asperger’s Syndrome, Autism or Bipolar Disorder? Let us go beyond the labels and explore who these children really are and why they are here. We will explore how these children are different neurologically, why our system does not support their make-up, the types of behaviors the child will exhibit to survive in the old paradigm, techniques to help the child fit into this world and how parents can help their child learn in school. There will be a question and answer period after the discussion.

Cultural Diversity/Conflict Resolution - Conflicts can exist within families, schools and the work place due to cultural misunderstandings. We will explore belief systems, personalities, old programming and assumptions that we make about others that may not have truth to them. The participants will also learn techniques for defusing anger, effective speaking/listening skills and effective problem solving. They will walk away from the course with a totally different view of relating to individuals based on their uniqueness and not their ethnicity. A powerful training for learning how to relate to others from a more realistic perspective.

Considering Divorce? Divorce is an emotional and traumatic time for couples. This workshop will help to put the interest of the child/ren first by teaching the parents how to effectively communicate the divorce to their children, introduce the concept of a 2-home environment and explore the emotions that can result from the separation and how to deal with them. You will learn the effects of unpleasant, emotional banter and how it affects the children and how you can move past the emotional hurt to put the children’s interest first. Remember, your children love both of you no matter what.
“You’re Okay Just the Way You Are!” - This one hour session is for middle school children who are on the verge of finding their own identity. We will explore their passions, their temperaments, and their uniqueness. We will take their gifts and turn them into strengths for them to focus on as they go through this difficult stage of life. We will also discuss how trying to be like someone else can set them up for failure and the benefits of working from their strengths.
